Weaving fabrics in some terms. Get up and learn quickly ~

1. Barre

For knitted fabrics, the feature of this defect is that some uneven patterns usually appear in the course of the fabric or in the transverse direction of the fabric. Non-uniform yarns, non-uniform yarn tension, and yarns with different dye affinities may be the reason for this.

2, Bias (Bias) (reference weft)

For woven fabrics, this kind of defect refers to the place where the weft yarns and the warp yarns are skewed ; for knitted fabrics, this refers to the place where the fabrics are skewed with the longitudinal dimension of the fabric.

3. Birdseye Defect

For knitted fabrics, this situation refers to occasionally irregular patterns of tuck loops that are contrary to the fabric design.

4, bow arc (Bow)

In the case of woven fabrics, this case refers to the weft yarns being positioned in an arcuate manner in the width direction of the fabric; for knitted fabrics, this case refers to the course of the stitches lying in an arc fashion in the width direction of the fabric.

5, Broken End (Broken End)

This defect refers to the place where the warp yarn breaks and is repaired. Its common feature is that it can see the broken end weaving into the fabric.

6, Broken Color Pattern (Broken Color Pattern)

In the case of woven fabrics, this situation refers to the discontinuity of the pattern, an error in drawing the color pattern with the weaver thread, or a re-connection of the image filling chain after the maintenance of the loom when the weft breaks. Incorrect settings can lead to this kind of defect; for knitted fabrics, this situation is caused by the shuttle changing the cylinder.

7, Broken pick (Broken pick)

This situation refers to the lack of weft yarns in part of the width of the fabric due to the breakage of the weft yarn.

8. Burl mark

This is a distortion caused by an excess of certain substances, including woollen yarns, waste products, and floating yarns that are being removed by repair tools.

9. Buttonhole selvage

This is a fabric selvage defect, and the excessive tension accumulated on the loom's shuttle before changing the weft yarn is the cause of this defect. This tension tends to limit the proper shedding and interleaving of the weft weft yarns, resulting in a defect that is similar to a buttonhole.

10. Chafed Yarn

This kind of defect refers to the worn yarn. After the yarn is worn, the fiber will lose its sense of direction and distort the yarn. This defect will affect the colorability of the yarn and will often lead to the generation of radial or weft-like streaks.

11. Chopped Filling

This kind of defect refers to the unbalanced phenomenon in the direction of weft yarns. It is characterized by the existence of an obvious or neat pattern, which is caused by the eccentric behavior of the drawing roller.

12, Clip mark (Clip mark)

This defect refers to the uncolored place on the fabric. This defect is caused by the small metal clips on the edge of the fabric. These small clips are used to avoid or correct the selvage of the fabric when it is dyed. Use it instead.

13. Coarse End

This situation means that the diameter of a warp yarn is significantly larger than the diameter of a normal warp yarn of a fabric.

14, Coarse Pick (Coarse Pick)

This situation means that the diameter of a weft yarn is significantly larger than the normal weft yarn diameter of the fabric.

15. Coarse Yarn

This situation means that the diameter of a single yarn is significantly larger than the normal yarn diameter of the fabric.

16. Cockled Fabric

For knitted fabrics, this defect refers to those wrinkled, shrunken, or bulging fabrics that do not lie flat on the cutting table. The reason for this phenomenon may be due to irregular yarn twisting, or it may be due to the unbalanced tension of the yarn in the knitting process, or it may be due to the uneven response of the yarn in the fabric during the finishing process.

17. Cockled Yarn

This situation means that some of the fibers in a yarn appear to be curled and do not tell the direction of the fiber. The reason for this is that some of the yarn fibers are too long with respect to the drawing roller, which causes the drawing roller to clamp the fiber before the previous drawing roller releases the fiber. Causes the fiber to break and curl. Kinked yarns look like tiny blemishes in the fabric.

18. Color Fly

This situation refers to the appearance of different colors of fiber impurities in the yarn or fabric.
